Dental Staff

Born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in1996 from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH). After graduation, he joined the academic staff of the School of Dentistry, raising to a Professor of restorative dentistry and established a booming practice focusing on cosmetic dentistry and rehabilitation.

He migrated to New Orleans in 2003 to join Louisiana State University School Medical Center completing two years of postgraduate training at the Medical Center of Louisiana / LSU Charity Hospital focusing on the care of medically compromised patients, conscious sedation, and hospital operating room dental management and treatment.

In 2005, he joined East Carolina University as Associate Professor of Family Medicine and adjunct Professor in the Department of Dental Ecology UNC School of Dentistry to direct the post-graduate Dental General Practice Residency Program. During his tenure, he helped write the curriculum and establish the East Carolina University, School of Dentistry in Greenville, NC., doubling the size of the residency program.

In June of 2011, he retired from academics and set into private practice developing a patient-centered state-of-the-art facility in Lexington, VA, introducing the first CEREC /GALILEOS system, with full digital integration for treatment planning and three-dimensional imaging diagnostics to the Rockbridge area in 2012.

An avid learner he currently focuses his time on patient care, as well as working as an independent CEREC/ GALILEOS trainer and practice developer across the state of Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his wife and three daughters, reading, getting in the kitchen as a gourmet cook, and primarily enjoys escaping on his motorcycle every chance he gets.

Sarah has been working in the field of dentistry in 2002 and has been with Dr. Paredes since he opened Shenandoah Dental Studio in 2011, starting out as his dental assistant before transitioning to the front desk and then to office manager. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. 

Brooke was born and raised in Rockbridge County. She started working as a dental assistant in 2010 and has been working with Dr. Paredes since 2011 and transitioned to the front desk as a receptionist in 2016. Her clinical skills and experience working alongside Dr. Paredes makes her a wonderful asset to our front desk. She does a great job at coordinating treatment and scheduling options for our patients. Stop by or call and ask for Brooke, she will be more than happy to go over financial and treatment options with you. She loves meeting and talking with patients. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. 

Crystal is a native of Rockbridge County and a 1997 graduate of Parry McCluer High School. During her free time she enjoys being active in her church activities, canning, fishing, boating, and most of all spending time with her husband and two sons. She started working in the dental field before graduating high school and enjoys working with the public and enjoys helping our patients with any questions they may have about insurance benefits and any financial questions they may have. Danielle was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA and has lived in Lexington since 2014. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University and is passionate about providing the best possible dental education and treatment for her patients. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family exploring all the outdoor opportunities Rockbridge County has to offer.

Megan is a native of Virginia; attending both Radford University and Virginia Western Community College before practicing dental hygiene. In her 10 year career, she has had the opportunity to serve as an OSHA officer and clinical educator with Proctor and Gamble. She and her husband, Alan, moved to the area to be closer to their families and to spend more time in the mountains. When Megan is not at the office making patients smile, she is reading a true crime novel, paddle boarding, or drinking a good cup of coffee.
